We are proud that we can provide dental services to your entire family – and that includes your children. From about three years of age, when all the baby teeth have come in, children need to start a program of dental care that will keep them smiling and healthy throughout their lives.

Dr. Melissa is the dentist in our office children love to see. Kids, in their own unique way, pick up on her warmth and genuine caring. What they may not notice is the extent of her knowledge, including two years of volunteering in NYU’s mobile dental unit where the largest population she served was children.

Of course, Dr. Melissa uses the same natural, bio-friendly materials on children that we use on all our adult patients. And she combines their application with a wealth of child-friendly educational information. (But don’t tell the kids that’s what it is – they think she’s just sharing good stories with them!)

Naturally, if we spot anything that we feel needs the eye of a specialist, we will be glad to refer you and your child to those we believe to be best. However, Melissa’s breadth of education and experience and her special way of working with children that keeps dental visits relaxed and friendly are likely to be all your child will need.
