I select my staff members based on their balance of technical and interpersonal skills. We are all aware that your satisfaction is based upon more than the excellence of my work.
From the greeting you receive when you call or enter the office, to the cheerful good bye when you leave, my staff and I are intent upon your having a positive, experience.
Dr. Melissa may be a familiar face to some of Dr. Brightleaf’s long-time clients because a number of years ago she was Dr. Brightleaf’s dental assistant.
Following her dream (and inspired by Dr. Brightleaf to deliver “health-conscious” dental care), she left sunny Los Angeles and went to New York, where she earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University’s College of Dentistry. Upon completion of her degree Melissa was warmly welcomed back into Dr. Brightleaf’s office as a full-fledged dentist.
Melissa takes pleasure in, and is dedicated to, furthering her learning through continuing education courses that help broaden her scope of practice, not only in Dentistry, but in Holistic methods as well. This is one of the things that make her such a good fit in Dr. Brightleaf’s unique practice.
Passionate and committed to providing superior care, Dr. Melissa’s main focus is on providing a holistic approach to prevention and quality dentistry. She also brings a unique sensitivity to treating children, which translates to a wonderful gentleness with adults as well.
“My goal is to deliver exceptional dental care and give patients the attention they deserve, personally and professionally.”
Danielle expresses an uncommonly extensive range of dental knowledge with a full measure of warmth and caring. The way she combines compassionately gentle touch with solid confidence in her actions is both reassuring and comforting to patients.
Currently, Danielle, who earned the designation of Registered Dental Assistant with Extended Functions from UCLA, is supplementing her 14 years of dental assisting experience with further studies at that school. She earned the high honor of being accepted into the UCLA Restorative Dental Assistant Practitioner program. Out of thousands of applicants, only 60 were chosen and Danielle was among them. We are extremely proud of Danielle and pleased beyond words to have her as part of our team.
Danielle assists Dr. Brightleaf in all areas of her practice and provides patients the tools to understand their treatment plan options.
“I love my job! I want to do everything I can to help patients understand more about how dentistry is related to their total body health. I feel that I am very fortunate to enjoy what I do so much.”
